About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise in React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. This role will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our e-business ecosystem, in particular our Property Management System (PMS) - Hotelizer.

Indicative Responsibilities:

• Create and sustain efficient, reusable and dependable code for both frontend and backend functionalities
• Collaborate closely with diverse teams to comprehend business needs and convert them into precise technical specifications
• Construct and uphold cutting-edge user interfaces through React, ensuring an exceptional user experience
• Engineer and refine applications using Node.js, emphasising performance, scalability, and security
• Diagnose and resolve issues spanning the entire system, from frontend UI to backend services, to uphold code quality and reliability
• Utilise version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/delivery tools
• Remain abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, providing informed recommendations and driving continuous improvement

Requirements

The ideal candidate would possess:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience working as a Full Stack Developer (at least 5 years of experience), with a strong portfolio showcasing React and Node.js projects
• Prior knowledge of working in Property Management Systems (PMS) in the travel industry, would be preferred
• Strong knowledge of React or other frontend technologies, including JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Solid knowledge of Node.js
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Deep understanding of software architecture and software development life cycle
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and delivery timelines; Agile development experience (including tools like Git, SCRUM/Agile tools) would be considered a plus
• Great communication skills and evidence of successful collaboration in a team
• Passion for learning and innovation
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
